Senior International Account Manager – Spain

Spain/Barcelona
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

As a Senior Account Manager, you will be the strategic architect of our partnerships across the Spanish market. We are a leading provider of public bike-sharing systems, and your role is critical in ensuring our systems are not just operational, but high-performing, financially robust, and deeply integrated into the urban fabric.

You will own the most complex municipal and regional relationships, acting as a high-level point of contact to cities and transport authorities. Your goal is to navigate the intricacies of the Spanish public sector to secure long-term contract stability and expand our market presence through strategic value creation.

  • Strategic Partner Lifecycle Management: Lead the full partner lifecycle for our most complex Spanish accounts, acting as the primary senior point of contact for municipalities and transport authorities.

  • High-Trust Relationship Building: Build and maintain high-level, trust-based relationships, ensuring long-term satisfaction and proactive communication regarding service evolution and urban mobility needs.

  • Financial Stewardship & P&L: Own the financial performance of your assigned systems. In collaboration with our team, you will oversee accurate invoicing, payment follow-ups, and identify growth opportunities to optimize rental revenues.

  • Sustainable Commercial Expansion: Identify and execute opportunities for fleet expansions, new features, advertising sales, and B2B services to increase system utility and reach.

  • Contractual Compliance & Quality: Ensure strict contractual compliance by monitoring adherence to SLAs and internal KPIs, working closely with Operations to maintain the highest service quality.

  • Cross-functional Synergy: Coordinate with Operations and Marketing teams to plan localized campaigns and pursue sponsorship opportunities that align with city goals and our global standards.

  • Strategic Advisory & Implementation: Act as a strategic advisor during expansion handovers and project implementation phases, ensuring smooth transitions and rigorous safety compliance.

  • Solution-Oriented Problem Solving: Lead the resolution of complex challenges—from operational failures to financial blockers—by coordinating with the relevant departments to ensure a swift, solution-oriented approach.

Your profile

  • Experience: Extensive experience in Account Management, Business Development, or Public Sector Consulting. A proven track record of managing high-value contracts with Spanish public administrations is essential.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Languages: Native or fluent Spanish and professional English (C1/C2) are mandatory. Fluency in Catalan is a significant advantage given our presence in key regions.
  • Industry Expertise: Strong background in micromobility, MaaS (Mobility as a Service), or smart city infrastructure.
  • Strategic Mindset: You are a data-driven professional who understands how to navigate the technical and financial complexities of long-term public sector contracts.
  • Communication: Exceptional presence and presentation skills, capable of influencing decision-makers at the mayoral or board level.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel frequently within Spain to foster deep, in-person relationships with our partners, along with occasional international travel to collaborate with our global team.

Benefits

  • A job that sustainably improves your quality of life and that of your fellow humans.
  • Competitive benefits: 25 days of vacation, a Retribución Flexible scheme (including monthly meal voucher), and coworking access to support your professional environment.
  • Flexible work models and structures for creative freedom.
  • Growth & Development: Access to professional development opportunities and specialized training.
  • strong team culture with flat hierarchies and an international network of colleagues  for support and knowledge exchange.
